HR 218 Training course is for Retired Law Enforcement
Officers and Retired Military Police employees only. And the qualified retired
regulation enforcement officer to carry a hid firearm in any jurisdiction
inside the United States, irrespective of any state or local law to the
contrary, with positive exceptions. All members are REQUIRED to carry their
retired LEO ID card, pistol license, and weapon(s) of preference with
magazines, holster, and 50 rounds of ammunition according to weapons.

HR 218 course is taught at either the South Shore Shooting
Range or Mitchel Field.HR 218 requirements in the LEOSA (Law Enforcement
Officers Safety Act Rules and
regulations on carrying your weapon outside of New York State.
GUIDANCE FOR LEOSA HR 218 QUALIFICATIONS COURSE
REQUIRED TO QUALIFY:
1. Valid/ Unexpired
"retired" Police/Peace Officer’s identification card from your former law enforcement
agency (qualifiers to have with them)
2.Valid New York State pistol permit (qualifiers to have with them when you have been issued one)
3.Safe and Functional Firearm
4.Safe and Functional tough holster
5.If for any reason the Firearms Instructor feels your holster is unsafe you will be furnished with an appropriate holster for your direction of fire.
